Dear Readers,
Oracle From to time releases legislative patches for Oracle HCM for maintating
statutory legistative requirements in the Oracle HRMS and Payroll module in Oracle Apps HRMS.

Applying these Patches are little bit different from applying other normal oracle apps patches

Oracle Maintains at all times the current required and latest hrglobal patches in the
Metalink document 145837.1.As of now the following are the current latest patches

but there is a procedure for applying these patches

Step I.First we need to ensure and if necessary apply the following Mandatory Global Patches against
each Family Pack level and also apply country specific patches as required.

Refer to Metalink Note 472794.1 for latest UK Payroll patches…

II. After applying the required patches we need to run a utility called
Data Install and the syntax to run the Data Install is as follows..

java oracle.apps.per.DataInstall thin ::

for example

java oracle.apps.per.DataInstall apps apps thin dbhost:1521:VIS

which will invoke the utility and
In the utility choose using the related number and “I”–for install..

before running hrglobal.drv we need to change the mode in Install mode for all related legislations

1 is the number for global in this utility, this is mandatory for all legislations

mostly in UK 54 and 55 is the number against legislation,so in this utility you have to give

Now you can see the status against each legislation as “Install”

Now save and exit from the utility.

Important:- Data Install has to be done in database node only…

Step III.

The global patch(in step I) will deliver hrglobal.drv
and put the driver in the location $PER_TOP/patch/115/driver/ .
Now You should apply this hrglobal.drv from this location using adpatch which will update the
legislations .
and after applying this patch without errors you can invoke data install utility and
see that the status against each of the legislation is “Installed”.

Now Your HRMS (Apps) or HCM system is applied with the latest legislation level.
